This family tree web site contains not only my family information, but also the families of my relatives where their information was supplied to me. That information may be from an old family tree, compiled by a cousin of theirs, or what they know first-hand. The data in these sections of the tree are sometimes, but rarely verified by myself. If you contact me about one of these "pseudo-cousin" branches, I will also try to put you in touch with the person I obtained that information from.
Off the home page, I have created seven (hopefully) easy-to-understand charts of several branches of my own family.
The database behind this web site, as accessed through the Name Index or off the above-mentioned charts, is presented as interactive Pedigree Charts. Pedigree Charts are a standard format in which to keep genealogical information. Each chart is based on a single individual. The chart then branches up to that person's parents, their parents, and theirs. Vital information about each person can be obtained by moving your mouse over their magnifying glass. (You need JavaScript for that.) Click on the scale to switch between biological and adoptive families. You can focus the tree on a different person by clicking on their name.
Name changes within this database are shown with a slash (/). For instance, Zyskind Mularzewicz, upon moving to the US, became Samuel Miller, so his name appears as Zyskind/Samuel Mularzewicz/Miller. The index will list him as Zyskind/Samuel under both Miller and Mularzewicz. Women who changed their name when they married are not listed this way.
